‘Ghost Ranch is the 4th pattern of my “shifting” series! A really fun way to explore color and texture using the Mosaic knitting method! This hat begins with a two color brioche rib that is then rolled up and transitioned into the textural Mosaic pattern! The Ghost Ranch colorway of Dyed in the Wool was created especially for this project and inspired by my time in the New Mexico desert!’ – Andrea Mowry
Ghost Ranch Hat Kit by Spincycle Yarns in collaboration with Drea Renee Knits
The Ghost Ranch Hat is a collaboration between Spincycle Yarns and Drea Renee Knits, specially released during Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2019. A new Dyed in the Wool colourway was created for this project of the same name, and this is now part of Spincycle’s permanent collection.
Each order will come with a paper pattern for the hat, whilst stocks last. (The pattern has two different front covers.) You can also find the pattern online on Ravelry.
This variation of dye-lot means every knitted creation using these skeins will be just that little bit more individual – just like you! Please allow for some colour variation to the photographs.

- MC – Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool Sport Weight (100% superwashed American Wool, 200 yds) | 1 skein Ghost Ranch (multi-colored)
- CC – Spincycle Yarns Versus DK Weight (100% fine wool blend, 200 yds) | 1 skein Slow & Steady (light grey marl)
Suggested Needles: Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge.
- Size US 2/2.75 mm – 16”/40 cm circular
- Size US 4/3.5 mm – 16”/40 cm circular
- Size US 4/3.5 mm – DPNs (or a longer circular for magic loop)
Gauge: 26 sts & 36 rows = 4”/10 cm | Measured over two color brioche rib in the round using smaller needle.
